The sales of Plug-in Electric Vehicles (PEVs) continues to rise globally. With most of the big car manufacturers all producing PEVs it is worth investing some time carrying out some comparison shopping to get the best model to suit your needs. [Editor's note: although we're partial to Tesla, it's interesting to see how all brands stack up in this infographic]
This infographic (see below) shows the countries which have sold the most plug-in hybrids and all electric vehicles in recent years, along with the rise in expected sales this year. Not unexpectedly China, USA and Japan have made the most progress in the development and sales of PEVs.
With estimated sales reaching 1.13 million by the end of 2015, PEVs for businesses and personal use continue to gather popularity. If you are looking for a PEV which provides the most mileage Tesla stands head and shoulders above its competitors. The Tesla Model S 85D advertises an impressive 270 miles, some 150 miles more than the Kia Soul EV.
