Many Tesla owners have used EVANNEX Performance Pedal Covers for accelerator and brake pedals for Model 3 to make them stand out and give them a performance feel. Now, you can do the same for the foot rest “Dead Pedal”—the location next to the accelerator and brake pedals where you rest your non-driving foot. Made to correspond with the brushed metal look of our performance pedal covers, the EVANNEX Foot Rest Dead Pedal Cover combines the satin finish of brushed metal with underlying black rubber strips to provide sure, non-slip usage. They're easy to install and give your Tesla Model 3 interior a distinctive look.
EVANNEX Foot Rest Dead Pedal Covers have been designed and manufactured specifically your Tesla Model 3. These covers have a brushed metal look placed on top of the vehicle's underlying black ribbed strips — conforming to the interior design language of your Tesla. They bring forth the brushed aluminum look that accents Tesla's vehicle interior into the lower driver compartment, providing a performance look that will make you smile every time you open the driver side door.
For the best interior look, we recommend that you use the EVANNEX Foot Rest Dead Pedal Cover in conjunction with our Performance Pedal Covers for the accelerator and brake pedals.
EVANNEX Foot Rest “Dead Pedal” Covers are fabricated to provide a brushed metal look and incorporate the existing black, anti-slip ribs are part of the OEM interior which pass through custom designed slots machined into the Foot Rest Dead Pedal cover.
For Model 3, the dead petal cover is fabricated from 25 mil thick sheet metal, machined and formed to fit the Model 3 Foot Rest Dead Pedal shape with slots to accept OEM built-in anti-slip ribs. It is 15.25 inches (38.75 cm) at it longest point and approximately 5 inches (13 cm) wide. It is curved along its inside edge to conform to the Foot Rest Dead Pedal shape. The Model 3 dead petal cover is attached to the OEM Foot Rest Dead Pedal surface using automotive very high bond (VHB) adhesive tape.
Is the EVANNEX Foot Rest Dead Pedal Cover difficult to install?
Installation is straightforward. The Foot Rest Dead Pedal surface must be cleaned before installation. The adhesive on the back of the Foot Rest Dead Pedal surface is removed, the cover is properly aligned and then pressed into place.
My Model 3 has tightweave carpet covering the foot rest area. Can I still use the EVANNEX Foot Rest Dead Pedal Cover?
Unfortunately, the EVANNEX Foot Rest Dead Pedal Cover has been designed specifically for Model 3s that have a rubberized, ribbed foot rest area. It should NOT be ordered if you have a tight weave carpet covering the foot rest.
Does the EVANNEX Performance Foot Rest Dead Pedal Cover change the feel of the foot rest area?
Not really. Driving characteristics and feel remain virtually the same. It’s the look that is changed for the better.
Are tools required to do the installation?
No tools are required.
Are mechanical fasteners required.
No. The EVANNEX Performance Foot Rest Dead Pedal Cover is adhered to the dead pedal surface using very high bond adhesives.
Is the installation of the EVANNEX Performance Foot Rest Dead Pedal Cover permanent? That is, can I remove it if I want to?
Although installation of Foot Rest Dead Pedal covers is intended to be permanent, you can remove it if you want. However, because we use very strong adhesives, they must be peeled off and there may be minor damage to the underlying surface along with potential minor damage to the Foot Rest Dead Pedal cover itself.
Will the EVANNEX Foot Rest Dead Pedal Cover for Model 3 fit right-hand drive vehicles?
No. The formed curve of the foot rest dead pedal cover is designed specifically for LHD vehicles and will not fit RHD vehicles.
Is the dead pedal cover an exact match for the performance pedal covers?
The Foot Rest Dead Pedal covers and the performance pedal covers have the same visual appearance, but they are not a matching set. The materials used, construction details, and the surface finish for the two products are slightly different. When they are examined closely, they do not represent a perfect "match." However, when placed in the driver's compartment in the space provided, they appear to be visually identical from a distance and serve to improve the overall look of your interior.
