Used for Tesla Model S with standard audio, that is, without Tesla's factory Ultra High Fidelity Sound (UHFS) System pre-installed. Model S.4D includes four specialized door speakers/woofers that deliver crisp highs, fluid mids, and deep sounding bass. It does not replace your existing amplifier and does not provide a subwoofer.

— Two 160mm/custom 1.3 Ω/250 W Full range Drivers with bass enhancements (rear doors)
Used for a Tesla Model S with Tesla's factory Ultra High Fidelity Sound (UHFS) System pre-installed. The Model S.12P provides 1200 continuous (1950 peak) watts of efficient class D power. The Light Harmonic amplifier consumes 50% less power and delivers five times more power than the factory installed amp. Model S12.P also provides a subwoofer.
Note: The S.12P is for Tesla Model S vehicles with the UHFS (Ultra High Fidelity Sound) system from Tesla.
— Premium Class D 5-Channel Amplifier
— Two 160mm/2 Ω/250 W Full range Drivers (front doors)
— Two 160mm/2 Ω/250 W Mid range Drivers (rear doors)
— One 203mm/2 Ω/750 W Subwoofer
Seriously Deep Bass. Finally.
When will the bass drop? The answer is now.
Model S’ factory subwoofer may not be up to your standards. However, using proprietary technology, Light Harmonic specifically designed for the Tesla Model S, four dedicated amplifiers pump up to 600 watts of continuous (1000 watts peak) power into our 8 inch subwoofer that fits directly into Tesla’s bass box. You’ll love the detail your new sub brings to a bass guitar and the deep impact you’ll feel when a kick drum hits.
Lightweight, Efficient Speakers
Light Harmonic motors use ultra-efficient pure copper coils for super-fast performance.
Light Harmonic speakers are fast. Ludicrous fast. Because they use hand-wound 99.9999% pure copper coils in all of their custom speaker motors. These coils are beautifully married to high-efficiency, lightweight rare earth permanent magnets. When energized, the coils resonate in perfect time to the music, achieving even greater detail that you’ve come to expect from the most expensive car audio systems.
Engineered Specifically for the Tesla Model S
High-end cars like the Tesla Model S should NOT use off-the-rack audio components.
Light Harmonic has tailor-made the best audio system for the Tesla Model S, spending over a year testing, measuring, and refining every aspect of the audio system. The speakers are sized to fit directly into your Tesla, but are built with carbon fiber to produce the highest available quality speakers that are custom designed for electric cars. From the smallest resistor to the largest voice coil, everything is custom made for your one-of-a-kind car. The result is the finest audio experience you can find in a Tesla anywhere.
Eight Core Digital Amplifier
Intuitive Class D amplification with Smart Power Management consumes less energy while providing 400% more power, on demand.
Tesla’s factory-installed power squandering Class A/B amplifier uses four power amp chips. The efficient Class D power plant has eight and still uses less energy. This innovative design provides a firm bass foundation for its striking and inviting midrange tones. Its crisp, detailed highs provide a perfectly balanced punctuation to your music. Your stereo shouldn’t be sucking away battery life when you’re not listening to it. So the amplifier powers up when it’s being used and powers down when it isn’t. And it does it all in a span of only 1/200,000th of a second.
Extend Your Range
In a car that values range as much as it values style, comfort, and performance, the audio system shouldn’t be power hungry.
Light Harmonic uses an all-digital energy-efficient amplification design. It consumes 50% less energy, and wastes 91% less. When you crank it to 11, it delivers more than four times the power to the speakers than Model S’ factory installed amplifier.

You stated that the Model S.12P is for Tesla Owners who have the factory-installed Ultra High Fidelity Sound (UHFS) system. Is it ONLY for those owners?
Yes, the S.12P is only for those owners, it replaces the upgraded system with better and more efficient amps and drivers, along with better speakers.
How do I know if I have the Ultra High Fidelity Sound system?
If you still have the specification sheet you received when you purchased your Model S, it will list the Ultra High Fidelity Sound system as an optional component. You can also contact Tesla Customer Service. If you provide them with your VIN number, they should be able to tell you if your car has the Ultra High Fidelity Sound system.
Is the Model S.4D available for owners with or without Ultra High Fidelity Sound (UHFS)?
Yes, the S.4D can be used for all Model S owners (with or without the UHFS upgrade). It replaces your speakers, but does not replace the amplifier or provide a subwoofer.
Is this a DIY project? Can I do this myself?
This is a complex install that requires audio installation experience and a strong knowledge of the component types and wiring requirements. For that reason, professional installation is required.
I already purchased the NVX B.O.O.S.T Series Bass Package from EVANNEX. Will either of these options be compatible?
Yes. Both of the Light Harmonic options will be compatible with the NVX B.O.O.S.T Series Bass Package and will improve the overall sound in the Tesla Model S as they each provide different aspects of audio enhancement.
Where can I find a professional installer?
There are many competent aftermarket car audio installation locations in your area. It may be helpful to locate a professional installer who has had experience with the Tesla Model S and comes recommended by others.
Can't I just go to an aftermarket car audio shop and have them build a system like this?
You may, but, this system was specifically created, engineered, tested, and appointed for the Tesla Model S vehicle. Light Harmonic wanted to create a system that would enhance and complement the unique configuration/set-up inside the Tesla Model S. Furthermore, Light Harmonic worked hard to create a system that would have a competitive price-point that will outperform competitive systems at a significantly lower price.
What is the warranty?
Light Harmonic offers a full one year warranty (see 'Warranty" tab).
How long does it take to receive my order?

“A quick studio test, even partially mounted, showed that the LH [Light Harmonic] set has significantly more depth, clarity and punch than the stock speakers. The factory ones sounded like a tipped over boom-box by comparison, but the LH ones could convince us the band was in the room.” – Teslarati
“Full compliments to the LH Labs team for manufacturing an outstanding upgrade to the Premium Audio system. What has been accomplished as a true “stock-swap” upgrade is nothing short of fantastic work, particularly considering the highly sophisticated Controller Area Network (CAN) electrical system that Tesla uses in the Model S. The mid-range sound is a huge improvement over the stock system. The mid-range enhancement is the reason to upgrade to the LH Labs system.” – 69VanNuys
“And this sounds really GOOD. Surprisingly good! My first impression is, it is a very music oriented set, That it is less able to play at the sound level of the UHF (let alone the 1200W LH upgraded UHF) but especially at lower volumes, beats not only standard but yes even the UHF. The sound is crisp, and as I said you can really tune the equalizer to whatever you prefer and LH will deliver. ” – Rainbow Road
“Well, how did everything sound? Using my own music, I played everything from classical (Mahler) to jazz with standup bass (Dave Brubeck) to singer/songwriter (Damien Rice) to bass-heavy pop (Coldplay and Daft Punk) at bitrates from lossless 16/44 to 24/88 (the Tesla is capable of up to 24/96 PCM playback). Compared to my stock Tesla, there was immediately a greater sense of dynamics and authority. ” – Romaz
