Zero emissions future is not a dream [Tesla Eye Candy 47]

For this installment of Tesla Eye Candy, we celebrate the tireless work of Tesla Motors to thrust the world forward into a zero emissions future. Breaking the 50,000 sales mark in 2015 is proof-positive that many new car buyers share a vision to wean their way off of fossil fuels. Many famous folks have also shown support, including -- most recently -- supermodel/actress Kate Upton. She wins our favorite photo as she garnered nearly 40,000 likes and proclaimed on Instagram:

"My first time @teslamotors #supercharger it's SO awesome! #ilovethiscar #elonmusk" - Kate Upton

Well done Kate! It was hard for her to win because our second photo was really pretty amazing... look closely and you'll see two Model S vehicles... the first one has a license plate that reads "ELON" and the second one reads "MUSK" -- well done. Scroll down to see more gorgeous photos and a breathtaking video...

For the featured Tesla Eye Candy video, the Freise Brothers* create a beautiful and haunting mini-film about the dawn of a zero emissions future in which they explain, "A surreal land of oil & gas is visited by an unlikely yet welcomed stranger." The coolest part about their "not a dream" vision, according to Electrek, is their use of: "1984-esque visuals and for the narration, [and] they cleverly pulled direct quotes from Nikola Tesla, after whom the automaker is named, though they hired a voice actor for the actual recording. The main part of the narration was pulled from a speech the physicist wrote about his Wardenclyffe tower project. Tesla hoped to turn the tower into a wireless power transmission system, but he was never able to finish the project. If you look closely enough, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of the tower in the video." Be sure to check out this stunning video...
