SEMA Show: Check out these wild Tesla modifications

The SEMA show in Las Vegas is the largest automotive specialty parts trade show in the world drawing over 70,000 attendees. I attended the show last week in order to check out new parts and accessories that Tesla owners might be interested in — some will be premiering (on EVANNEX) soon. However, I also encountered some wild, customized Teslas that showcase a significant design departure from the standard factory look.

Trick or Treat: The SEMA show kicked off this year on Halloween so one Tesla "dressed up" in a bright orange vinyl wrap and black powder-coated wheels

While some Teslas on display were nothing more than vinyl wraps and modified wheels (see above), there were a few more radical collaborations — bringing together like-minded companies in order to transform Tesla's design aesthetic and create a fresh new look. The first gallery below showcases a Tesla Model X customized by Unplugged Performance and Toyo Tires. Following that, the second gallery shows off a modified Tesla Model S by Larte Design and DUB Magazine

Were there other Teslas on display at the massive SEMA show? Absolutely. Even though many SEMA attendees are diehard gearheads with "oil" flowing through their veins (as one attendee told me), Teslas were proudly on display at many booths. One particular Tesla stood out — it was a complete Model S redesign that had its own world premiere at the SEMA Show. I was able to score an on-camera exclusive with the renowned designer who reimagined the Tesla Model S — check it out.
