Autopilot Compatible. The EVANNEX Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket for Tesla Model Y is compatible with Tesla’s Autopilot functionality and will not interfere with any of the front mounted proximity and forward-looking sensors.

No Drilling or Bolt-on Connections. There is no need for drilling holes in your front bumper or bolting on the bracket to the lower air dam grill. Simply slide and hook the bracket mounts on to the air dam grill of your Tesla Model Y. Bracket mounts were designed to provide additional mechanical support and properly position the bracket. Then bolt on the license plate frame and finish fastening all bolts so the Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket is mounted securely.

How is EVANNEX Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket attached?

There is no need for drilling holes in your front bumper or bolting on the bracket to the lower air dam grill. Simply slide and hook the bracket mounts onto the air dam grill of your Tesla Model Y.  Bracket mounts were designed to provide additional mechanical support and properly position the bracket. Then bolt on the license plate frame and finish fastening all bolts so the Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket is mounted securely.

How does the EVANNEX Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket differ from Tesla's OEM bracket?

The EVANNEX Thin-Line Front License Plate is made of high strength alloy unlike Tesla's OEM plastic bracket and requires no use of high-strength automotive adhesives. Tesla's bracket sits higher on the front end of the vehicle, and some owners think it degrades the aesthetic of the Model Y front end. The  EVANNEX  Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket sits much lower on the front end, allowing the unique Model Y look to be unimpeded by your license plate.

How does the Thin-Line EVANNEX Front License Plate Bracket differ from our original EVANNEX Front License Plate Bracket?

Our original Front License Plate Bracket is attached to the Model Y lower air dam using high strength adhesive. Like this "Thin-Line" product, it does not impede sensors and is easy to install. The original front license plate bracket is positioned lower on the front bumper. Some owners prefer the higher placement and clip-on nature of the thin-line product, while others prefer the lower placement and permanent adhesive fastening of the original bracket.

Will the Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket fit the Tesla Model 3, S or X?

The Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket has been specifically designed for the Tesla Model Y. It has not been designed for fitment on a Model 3, Model S or X. Please find appropriate license plate bracket options on their respective pages at evannex.com.

Can the Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket be used with European or other international front license plates?

The Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket has been designed for use with North American license plates and has fastening locations that conform to the dimensions of such license plates. It is not recommended for use with European plates because fastening hole patterns are different.

Will the Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket get in the way of the forward-looking sensor in the lower air damn grille?

No. The sensor’s forward looking “vision” is not impeded.

The EVANNEX Thin-Line License Plate Bracket is constructed of 2 mm high-strength aluminum alloy.  Includes weather resistant rust proof hardware .

Will car washes affect the EVANNEX Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket?

No. The EVANNEX Thin-Line Front License Plate Bracket is not affected by water, detergents, or other environmental conditions. You can wash your Model Y as you normally would. If you use automatic car washes, we strongly recommend the brushless variety to protect the Model Y finish and also to avoid the possibility the brushes could become tangled in the license plate bracket.

The bracket has been designed for easy install and removal. Just unbolt to disassemble bracket mount and completely remove the bracket. 

How long does it take to receive my Front License Plate Bracket order?

The EVANNEX Thin-Line Front License Plate usually ships within 24 business hours of receipt of order. Delivery time depends on your location relative to South Florida and is typically within three (3) days for the continental U.S.
