Description

The Tesla Model Y HVAC system includes air vents under both the driver and passenger side front seats. Because the vents have no cover, items that might fall under the seat can become lodged in the vent or "disappear" into the vent, making the item difficult to find. In addition debris that is left on the front floor mats can work its way back under the front seats and become lodged in the vents. EVANNEX Air Vent Covers have been custom designed to fit the Model Y under seat air vent precisely, and at the same time, allow air flow to occur.

The EVANNEX Under Seat Air Vent Covers for Tesla Model Y are fabricated from high-strength ABS plastic with a tight grid pattern that will stop items from falling into the under seat air vents while allowing air flow to occur without difficulty. The Air Vent Covers are approximately 8 in. L x  2.5 in. W x 0.5 in H and molded to fit the shape of the vent. They can be attached in seconds using the integrated clips that snap onto the vents.

The under seat HVAC vents are located under the driver seat on the driver door side of the seat. For the passenger seat, the air vent is located under the seat on the center console side of the seat.

How can I get at the vents?

Simply move the seat position all the way forward and access the vents from the second row. It's a good idea to have a flashlight handy to aid with visibility? 

How do I install the vents?

Place the Under Seat Air Vent Cover over the vent, being sure it's oriented properly. Then simply snap the vent cover into place using the integrated clips.

Will the vent cover impede air flow?

The impact of the vent cover on air flow will be negligible.

Will rear seat passenger be able to see the air vent cover?

No. The air cover can be seen only by kneeling down next to the car and looking under the seat.

Can a rear passenger's foot dislodge the vent cover?

No. Under normal conditions, the seat location limits the forward location of a rear passenger's feet. The air vent will not be contacted.

Will this air vent cover for Model 3 work for Model Y?

No. The under seat air vent configuration for Model Y is different/larger. These vents have been specifically designed for Model 3 and Model Y separately. The installation instructions are the same.

Installation

The under seat HVAC vents are located under the driver seat on the driver door side of the seat. For the passenger seat, the air vent is located under the seat on the center console side of the seat.

NOTE: The Air Vent covers are updated to include no adhesive, Simply snap them in place using the integrated clips molded into the covers.

The following installation steps are recommended:

Step 1.  If there is dirt or grit under the seat, vacuum it away so that the vent area is clean.

Step 2.  Place the Under Seat Air Vent Cover over the vent, being sure it's oriented properly.

Step 3.  Then simply snap the vent cover into place using the integrated clips.
