The EVANNEX Dual Deck Center Console Insert (DD-CCI) has been custom designed to fit the unique shape, dimensions, and materials of the Model 3 and Model Y center console storage. It is constructed of injection-molded plastic covered with a black felt-like fabric that complements the fabric used inside the OEM center console storage box.

The DD-CCI is approximately 10.5-in. L x 6-in. W (265mm L x 152mm W) at its base. Angled sides are approximately 2.5-in. H (65mm H) on average with front and rear ends that are approximately 3-in. (75mm) and 2.5-in. (65mm) high, respectively. The front end has two cut-outs designed to accommodate the dual USB ports contained inside the OEM storage box. The rear end of DD-CCI has a single cutout designed to allow light to shine through from the OEM light source in the rear wall of the storage box.

The DD-CCI deck sits approximately 3 in. (76mm) above the OEM storage box floor, creating a hidden storage space that is approximately (6.5 in (avg.) L x 5 in W x 3 in, D (165mm L x 127mm W x 75mm D). The space can be accessed by lifting the DD-CCI out of the OEM storage box—an operation that takes seconds. The lower deck sits securely above the hidden space, allowing you to store more frequently used items in an organized and easily accessible manner. It also contains special sections for smaller items (e.g., pens, ID cards, your wallet, thumb drives).

Do I need fasteners or adhesives to install DD-CCI?

No. The precise dimensions of the DD-CCI allow it to be pressure fit into place. It can be removed with a gentle tug and replaced in seconds.

Can I remove the DD-CCI deck with my stuff in place?

Can I access the dual USB charge ports in the wall of the OEM storage box?

Yes. You can use the USB ports as normal, accessing them through the openings cut into the front wall of the lower deck.

Can I charge my smartphones using the center console charging area or EVANNEX’s Dual Qi wireless charging (for Model 3)?

Yes. The DD-CCI does not interfere with charging in any way.

How deep is the DD-CCI deck?

The DD-CCI deck is approximately 2.5 in (65mm) deep, enough to store most items that would typically fit inside a center console. It also contains specialized sections for small items that can be reached easily and without the need to search through a deeper and crowded storage area. The special sections are approximately 1.5in (37mm) deep.

You said that there’s a hidden space below the DD-CCI. How big is it?

The hidden space is (6.5 in (avg.) L x 5 in W x 3 in, D (165mm L x 127mm W x 75mm D), representing a volume of about 100 cubic inches. That’s enough volume to store a backup wallet with emergency cash, other small emergency items (e.g., a box of matches, energy bars, handi-wipes, pain reliever, small scissors, an extra set of house/workplace keys) or even a hidden small defensive weapon for those who visit less-than-safe places.

How do I clean the DD-CCI?

In the same way you’d clean the OEM storage box itself. We recommend using a handheld vacuum to remove any dust or dirt.
