You can control the ambient lighting using a mobile phone app. The lights automatically turn on when you enter the car and turn off about 60 seconds after you exit. The included USB hub also adds a couple of extra ports in your glovebox. the ambient light was designed for the wireless charger area on the center console for your 2024 Model 3 Highland.

Since the glovebox USB is always powered, the hidden occupancy sensor discreetly detects if someone is in the car. If no one is detected after 60 seconds, the LED strip turns off. You can use the lights without the sensor, but they will stay on until the car goes into sleep mode.
